This retractable audio extension cable worked great for a month, but then broke. I've read about this happening to other types of retractable cords, so it's probably not just this particular one. They can be very fragile. Recommended only if it costs pennies.

I use this retractable cable as an extension for my favorite pair of headphones that have a short cable. This is a good quality extension, but be careful not to stress the ends too much or you may wind up with an intermittent connection (as with any cable). This one is actually a replacement for a previous one that went intermittent after I inadvertently let the headphones fall and yank on the cable.

The retraction is a little iffy, sort of like the old pulling on the shades or old video screen and hoping it will retract all the way. It sort of knarls up and you have to be deft and patient.

But all in all I'm glad I have this thing to connect with built-in speakers in my classroom.
